The train station, located only five minutes away on foot, provides straightforward connections to Aarhus and other parts of the country.

Convenience is a key feature here, with the largest shopping center in Central Jutland and a sizable grocery store nearby. When it’s time to take a break from studies, the campus’s own "Student House" offers amenities such as a café, bar, fitness center, and a communal hall ideal for social events and gatherings.

Regarding pets, tenants are permitted to keep animals including dogs and cats. However, snakes and terrarium animals are prohibited. Smaller pets like hamsters and indoor birds may be allowed provided they do not disturb other residents with noise or odors, in accordance with the department’s rules. The final decision on pet policies is made by the department through a majority vote.

The campus is characterized by its attractive white-painted buildings and the Student House, which includes the café, communal area, and fitness facilities, making it a preferred location for young people seeking a lively yet cozy atmosphere. The newest set of 66 study apartments are passive houses, designed to drastically reduce energy consumption using enhanced insulation and highly efficient heat recovery systems. It's said that just a few jumps inside these homes can noticeably warm the room thanks to their excellent insulation.

The student's residences on Korsørvej also fall under the Birk Campus department. These are similarly close to Herning city center and only 3 kilometers from both VIA University College and AU-Herning. Beyond the Student House, Birk Campus provides shared laundry facilities, a soccer field, and a beach volleyball court. Parking spaces are conveniently located near the dwellings, with bike shelters distributed throughout the area. The campus is also equipped with charging stations.

Residences at Birk Campus come in a variety of types, including single and two-story units, some featuring terraces or French balconies. Kitchen appliances vary: some apartments include a hood and stove, while others have two hotplates and a small oven. All homes contain a combined refrigerator and freezer, with sizes differing depending on the layout. Internet service is not available in the Korsørvej apartments. In Birk Centerpark, residences are prepared for Danish Cable TV Internet, and those in Birk Campus are set up for YouSee services, which are optional. Korsørvej units generally come with a basic TV package. Storage rooms are not available; however, two-story apartments may have space for storage under the interior staircase.

Additional expenses beyond rent vary in terms of payment methods for electricity, water, and heating. YouSee cable TV and fiber internet options are optional and charged directly by the service provider. The basic package is optional and requires registration. Internet services are also optional and billed separately.
