Omtanken is composed of six separate buildings that together encircle a shared courtyard. Each of the buildings contains 12 residences, with the exception of Building B, where part of the available area has been allocated to a large communal room for the residents. The apartments come in configurations ranging from 2- to 4-room dwellings and are intended for people at various stages of life.

Building B houses Omtanken's communal amenities, which include a multipurpose room, a kitchen/dining area and a shared laundry. The multipurpose room is designed to be adaptable and may be used for play, physical activity, film viewings, creative workshops, games and larger get-togethers. The kitchen/dining area provides space for birthday celebrations and communal meals as well as for use as a café, a place for homework or for meetings. These shared facilities make it possible to meet across the community and participate in communal life at times that suit everyday routines.

Every home has its own balcony or terrace so residents can spend time outdoors while remaining connected to the life and atmosphere of the neighborhood.
