Teglgården's Virke residences are designed specifically for individuals aged 50 and above who no longer have children living at home. The Virke-Teglgården complex comprises a total of 34 rental units varying in size, featuring apartments with one, two, or three bedrooms. These homes combine compact urban living with surprisingly generous space. Each apartment is tailored to meet the requirements of those who, after a long and full life, prefer to settle into a smaller living area. The design maximizes usable space by incorporating built-in wardrobes and well-arranged rooms, while eliminating unnecessary corridors to ensure tenants receive the highest possible value for their rent. Every unit includes a private basement storage room, and tenants have the option to rent a parking space in the underground garage.

Teglgården encompasses not only the Virke residences but also family and youth housing, forming a courtyard community that welcomes residents of all ages. The concept encourages social interaction through shared Virke common areas while maintaining opportunities to connect with other inhabitants in the neighborhood. The courtyard has been thoughtfully landscaped with an emphasis on promoting biodiversity. Within the Virke-Teglgården section, all apartments share an entrance and are linked by an exterior gallery.

Residents here engage collectively in day-to-day life with the aim of fostering a more sustainable lifestyle.
