The new student housing project Dimittenden will be constructed as a five-story block-style building featuring a total of 51 publicly funded student apartments arranged around a central courtyard. Residents will have access to shared laundry facilities and communal rooms equipped with kitchens.

Each unit is a studio apartment ranging in size from 38 to 50 square meters. Inside, the apartments include a kitchenette furnished with a small refrigerator that has a freezer compartment and a two-burner cooktop. The monthly rent is estimated at approximately 1,300 DKK per square meter excluding utilities, which translates to around 4,010 DKK per month for a 38-square-meter apartment.

Occupancy is scheduled to begin on November 1, 2026. The apartments will be leased by the landlord primarily to young people pursuing education as well as youths with special needs. Priority will be given to students whose parents reside within Gentofte Municipality, which requires proof through a copy of the baptismal certificate and the parents' residential registration. Applicants must ensure they select this criterion when registering for the waiting list. The municipality of Gentofte encompasses the areas of Charlottenlund, Dyssegård, Gentofte, Hellerup, Jægersborg, Klampenborg, Ordrup, Skovshoved, and Vangede.

Detailed floor plans and comprehensive leasing information are expected to be available approximately six months prior to move-in. Notifications regarding open house events and other updates will be sent via email, so it is important to keep your email address up to date.

Please note that special rules apply for the initial rental process, and the waiting list number provided by the system may not reflect the actual priority for these units. Currently, it is unknown how many apartments the municipality will allocate in the first rental round.
