The housing department mainly comprises historic buildings in central Haderslev. Many of the houses in Byhusene date back a long time, so this is the place to live if you appreciate properties with few residents and apartments that are not all the same, where you may find well-preserved original plank floors, stucco ceilings, unusual angles, impressive facades and cobbled streets; there is also newer construction within the department.
