WELCOME TO HEDENSTED - TØRRING, DEPARTMENT 54 - Attractive family homes close to town and nature.

The apartments: The homes share a park-like communal area. Each kitchen is open to the living room and is well laid out with light-coloured cabinet fronts. A fridge-freezer, stove and extractor hood are included, and there is an existing provision to connect a dishwasher which may be installed after application. The shower bathroom has a linoleum floor and light-coloured walls; there is an installation for a washing machine and tumble dryer that can be put in after application. Flooring throughout the living areas is beech parquet except for the kitchen zone, which has practical vinyl. All bedrooms contain fixed wardrobes. The housing group enjoys an enviable park area with picnic benches, playground, ball court, terrace and a barbecue area. Ground-floor dwellings come with a private garden maintained by the tenant; first-floor apartments have a balcony and some units feature an external, furnishable landing (repos). Each dwelling includes either a shed or a cellar room. There is a good network of paths leading into town. Utilities: water and heating are invoiced by the landlord as a monthly a conto charge. Electricity is billed directly by the utility company.

The department: This section is a composition of several former departments. The family-friendly neighbourhood comprises a range of building types from different years. The charming single-storey row houses were built in 1996, while single-storey row houses were also built in 1989. The family-oriented homes all have both a small private garden and a terrace where birdsong and morning coffee can be enjoyed. Children have access to a pleasant small playground attached to the department, and in the evenings residents may bring a barbecue to gather on the green lawns, sit at the picnic table-and-bench sets and eat grilled food. Residents may borrow the common room free of charge; it accommodates approximately 35 people. Although there is the option to connect a washing machine in the individual homes, a communal laundry room is also attached to the department and may be used for a fee.

Good location near town and school: One part of the department consists of yellow single-storey row houses and two-storey apartment buildings in yellow brick, with an elevator. This complex was completed in 2005 and is situated in the northern part of Tørring. There are no internal doorsteps in the dwellings, making them suitable for people with mobility impairments, though half of the apartments are reached by an external staircase to the first floor. Residents have access to a pleasant common room with space for about 25 people and mattresses for four overnight guests. There are good parking facilities.

Bright homes from 1997: The row houses are single-storey and located on a cul-de-sac, close to open countryside. A block of two-storey dwellings sits around its own communal area - a park-like space that is rare to find. These properties date from 1997 and lie on the north-eastern edge of Tørring. They are all without doorsteps and thus suitable for people with mobility impairments; note, however, that there are stairs to the first-floor apartments and elevators are only present in some staircases. The department has a common room available for hire.

Quiet row houses in Lindved: In the north-western part of Lindved these dwellings stand on a quiet cul-de-sac, which keeps traffic to a minimum; the row houses are paired two-and-two, were built in 1998 and are single-storey.

Modern construction from 2000: In 2000 the two-storey apartment buildings in the centre of Rask Mølle were built; the buildings are also known as Bryggergården. The facades are in red brick and the architecture is strict, with columns and tall grey window sections that provide good daylight. After application it is permitted to keep one cat or one dog in this department.

Row houses from 2004: This section comprises eight yellow-brick single-storey row houses built in 2004. The houses sit two-and-two centrally in Åle. All dwellings are arranged so that a wheelchair user can move around. The department offers both a common room and a guest flat. There are a number of social activities in the community house, some of which are open to all residents of Åle. A shared bicycle shed has been erected by the parking area.

Row houses and detached villas in a quiet neighbourhood: A number of row houses as well as detached villas, all single-storey, have since 1960 stood in a peaceful residential area in the centre of Tørring. For the homes with odd numbers from No. 3 and upwards there are lovely green outdoor areas. Tenants must budget for the basic TV package, which is charged via the landlord. The department includes 10 garages, which may be rented on a waiting list. All residents have the opportunity to rent a pleasant common room, approximately 1 km from Grønnevej.

Peaceful community in the middle of a residential area: On a small closed street in a residential neighbourhood in the southern part of Ølholm the cozy row houses were built in the years 1974-1976. The single-storey houses in yellow brick with red roofs were retrofitted with additional insulation and fitted with new white windows and doors in 2015. There are well-kept communal outdoor areas with space for ball games and opportunities for socialising at the installed picnic table-and-bench sets.

Row houses with private terrace/garden: This section comprises single-storey row houses in Åle, Rask Mølle, Hornborg, Lindved and Tørring. All houses were built in the latter half of the 1980s. Except for two dwellings, all residents in this department have a washing machine included in the tenancy. Apart from the homes on Kingosvej, there is at every location the option to use a common room for larger gatherings. All sites have well-maintained communal outdoor areas. On Askevej, Hybenvej and Kingosvej it is permitted, after application, to keep one dog or one cat.

Lovely homes in Uldum, Ølholm and Rask Mølle: The department comprises detached villas and row houses in Uldum, Ølholm and Rask Mølle. All have access to a private garden and benefit from good locations in the three active towns. For those who need larger cultural opportunities, the motorway network is within reasonable distance and connects the Triangle Region's larger towns: Horsens, Vejle and Herning. All residents have access to a pleasant common room on Rosavej in Tørring, which can be rented for larger events. It is permitted, after application, to keep one dog or one cat; however, certain dog breeds are excluded. These breeds are listed in the house rules.

Row houses centrally in Ølholm: This section consists of single-storey row houses from 1965 that were comprehensively renovated externally and internally in 2004-2005. There are communal outdoor areas with picnic benches and a playground. Three- and four-room dwellings come with a carport. There are several common rooms that can be rented for larger gatherings.

Modern dwellings from 2007: Centrally in Uldum these row houses were completed in 2007. They are built in yellow brick with cement roof tiles and are single-storey. It is possible to rent a common room for private events on Rosavej in Tørring and on Hybenvej in Rask Mølle. In this department it is permitted, after application, to keep up to two pets (dog/cat) except for certain dog breeds, which are specified in the house rules.

The local area - close to town and to the magnificent nature along the Gudenå: We are about 1 km from the town centre, where shops, library and citizen services are located. School, gymnasium and daycare are also within walking distance of the homes. Tørring has its own sports centre, Gudenåcentret, which includes both a swimming pool and a fitness centre. In leisure time the Gudenå and Tørring commons and marshes are natural destinations. There are trail systems for both mountain bikers and those who prefer a gentle walk with a picnic. Within walking distance is Tørring Campsite, run by volunteers, where canoeing on the Gudenå is possible - an obvious excursion destination for nature lovers. There are good bus connections to Horsens, Billund, Vejle and Nørre-Snede, the motorway is 3 km away and it is approximately 20 km to both Horsens and Vejle.
