Situated right out by Vesterhavet, Klitmøller is part of Cold Hawaii and attracts surfers from around the world. The town has about 1.200 inhabitants and has seen substantial inward migration over the last 10 years; during the summer half-year the number of residents multiplies many times because the town is a popular tourist destination. Klitmøller lies with Vesterhavet and Nationalpark Thy as its immediate neighbors and provides a børnehus and a friskole with grades 0.-6. klasse, along with a selection of accommodation and dining options as well as everyday shops.
