Klitmøller is situated right by Vesterhavet and forms part of the area known as Cold Hawaii, which draws surfers from all over the world. The town has 1,200 inhabitants. Over the past 10 years it has seen significant in-migration, and the number of people present increases manyfold in the summer half-year because the town is a popular tourist destination.
