Enebærvej.

Department 51 presents a range of family homes in Aabybro. The three- and four-room apartments all include a utility room fitted with cupboards and tiled floors, and the bedrooms feature built-in wardrobes. Family units are equipped with eat-in kitchens, while the youth flats on Enebærvej have separate kitchens and the remaining youth units have kitchens open to the living area. Main floors are laid with beech parquet and the bright living rooms have access to the garden; on Enebærvej ash parquet is used and there are garden exits both from the living room and from the bedroom. Bathrooms have sand-coloured floor tiles and white wall tiles, and, except for some of the Enebærvej homes, underfloor heating is installed in the bathrooms. Several of the Enebærvej properties are arranged over two storeys and include an internal staircase. Water is included in the rent, heating is charged by the landlord as a monthly a conto amount, and electricity is invoiced directly by the energy supplier.

The department covers several locations. Torvestræde and Østergade lie in the centre: the Torvestræde apartment blocks were constructed in 1992, 1993 and from 1997 and contain family dwellings as well as wheelchair-friendly accommodation with an elevator and apartments without door thresholds; pleasant green areas with table-and-bench sets surround the buildings. Østergade, a block from 1992, is configured with youth housing. The department also comprises 12 terraced houses used as elder housing, built in 1979 and renovated in 2001. There are shared bicycle shelters at Østergade and Torvestræde. At a greater distance from the town centre are four groups of single-storey red-brick terraced houses: Løvsangervej (1979) and Sneppevej (1988) bordering one another, and Revlingestien (1985) and Perikumvej (2002) likewise adjacent. These areas offer generous communal spaces with table-and-bench sets and playgrounds with a zip line; they are primarily family housing with a small number of youth flats. A limited number of carports serving Løvsangervej and Revlingestien can be rented when available, and safe pedestrian/cycle paths from Perikumvej and Revlingestien lead to the town centre, schools and institutions. The red-brick homes on Enebærvej were built in 1990 as terraced houses in one or two levels and are located in the eastern part of Aabybro in a villa district characterized by extensive green areas and a good, secure path network to the town centre, schools and institutions; the section includes a notable playground with a zip line capable of bearing adults and bench-table sets placed around the neighbourhood. Bindeleddet, Hjorthsvej, Tegleværksvej, Sundbyvej, Stationsvej, Vadumvej, Anlægsvej, Vadumvej, Kildevangen consist of low-rise housing of various sizes situated in Aabybro and in the smaller villages Birkelse, Biersted, Nørhalne and Gjøl. All of the bright family and elder homes have beech parquet floors, while most youth units have linoleum and some have laminate floors. Fitted cupboards are provided in the bedrooms and in the entrance throughout.

The local area offers much of what residents need. Nature is readily accessible around Aabybro: a 15-minute drive takes you to Hammer Bakker, Klitplantagen or the sandy beach between Blokhus and Tranum. Aabybro also has its own culture centre within walking distance of the department, a broad selection of grocery and specialist stores, an organised sports life covering all disciplines, and schools and institutions are close by. A physical masterplan (helhedsplan) for the housing area has been approved and may lead to changes in the rent and, in some cases, temporary rehousing after moving in. The physical works begin in mid-2027 and are expected to be completed in 2030, at which time a rent increase of 10-12% should be anticipated as a result of the plan's completion. You can read more in the document: Helhedsplan - Beboerinformation, which is available in the Documents box, or contact Servicecenter BoligNord at sc.bolignord@udlejer for further information. With flexible letting, applicants who meet one or more of the flexible criteria can move ahead in the queue and thereby obtain housing faster than via the normal waiting list; 25% of the family and youth apartments are allocated under these flexible criteria. The flexible criteria are: commuters employed in Jammerbugt municipality (to be documented by a copy of the employment contract), residents of Jammerbugt municipality over 50 years of age seeking a more suitable home, and parents with visitation rights to children living in Jammerbugt municipality.
