Currently, eight young individuals share a cozy collective residence, and soon three rooms will become available as three of our wonderful housemates are moving out. These vacancies will be open respectively from April 15th and May 1st. Our landlords maintain a principle that the household should have an equal gender balance, which means the new tenants must include two men and one woman. While the terms "men" and "women" are used to align with this gender distribution policy, everyone is of course welcome to apply regardless of gender identity. Additionally, the landlord prefers applicants who are students in some capacity. The age range among current residents spans from mid-20s to early 30s, but applicants need not be within this range to apply. The three available rooms offer various sizes and rental terms. One room, measuring 13 square meters, costs DKK 2,454 per month and includes utilities such as water, heating, electricity, internet, and other consumption costs; it is located on the first floor among five bedrooms and can be taken over starting April 15th. Another room, 11 square meters in area with the same rent of DKK 2,454 covering all utilities, is also on the first floor and will be available from May 1st. The third option consists of a 30-square-meter space divided into two rooms placed in the basement, offered at a monthly rent of DKK 2,658 inclusive of all utilities, ready for occupancy on April 15th.
Situated in Hunderup neighborhood facing Tietgens Allé, the house benefits from close proximity to shopping facilities, less than 2 kilometers from the city center, approximately 3 kilometers from the University of Southern Denmark (Syddansk Universitet), and 1.7 kilometers from UCL. Outdoors, there is a charming small garden complete with a barbecue and herb garden.
Shared amenities include three toilets, two bathrooms, and a spacious kitchen. Residents have free access to appliances such as the washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. On the attic level, a large common room features a bar area, a sofa corner with a television, and a sizable dining table.
The atmosphere in the house focuses on creating a pleasant and comfortable environment where everyone can contribute their personal touch. The current residents are seeking cheerful and outgoing new housemates interested in occasional board games or sharing a beer or soft drink. Most of the household members are students; maintaining quietness during exam periods is important, alongside respecting closed doors. Socially, the group prioritizes spending time together, for example through weekly communal dinners where whoever is able cooks, followed by eating together. These gatherings also include a monthly house meeting to discuss various matters.
Cleaning duties are divided among the tenants, and it is crucial that new residents demonstrate responsibility in adhering to the cleaning schedule. This topic will be addressed at the first house meeting following the arrival of new roommates to ensure everyone is comfortable with their assigned tasks.
The six current occupants are:
Kamilla, aged 25, is in her first year as an apprentice felt maker in Odense. Previously, she completed a bachelor's degree in textile design in Sweden, making her both new to the house and the city. Her contributions to the household include the noise from a juicer, a selfie stick, several sewing and knitting machines, and numerous plant cuttings.
Frederik, 26, is entering the final semester of his psychology studies and is writing a thesis together with Jonas. He has an active social life particularly connected to his studies, enjoys football both as a spectator and player, and would appreciate a roommate sharing this interest. He is spending his sixth year living here and is in a relationship with Julia, with whom he spends much time.
Julia, also 26, is finishing her final year of a master's degree in an interdisciplinary program majoring in English and minoring in psychology at SDU. Recently turned 26, she balances work and social activities and enjoys walks and iced coffee throughout all seasons. She lives with her partner Frederik and has been part of the collective since September 2025. Julia loves films, TV series, and especially reality TV, for which she's looking for a watching companion.
Jonas, 29, is wrapping up his master's degree in psychology and collaborating on his thesis with Frederik. Having resided in the house since 2020, he values living there. He likes to engage in thoughtful conversations about life's deeper aspects, enjoys meditation, retreats, and discussing politics and philosophy in the kitchen. In addition, he spends time playing music and computer games. Internationally minded, he has lived in Norway and Saudi Arabia. Jonas lives with his girlfriend Marie.
Marie, 30, originally from Germany, is Jonas's partner and often found in the kitchen experimenting with various cooking projects, currently focusing on sourdough. She spends free time playing piano and singing in a choir. Professionally, she works as a psychologist on a research project. Marie welcomes spontaneous roommate hangouts, whether involving drinks, board games, or conversations about life's small and big topics.
