The neighborhood contains a nursery, kindergarten, after-school club, junior and youth clubs, alongside several other local institutions. Quiet streets stretch approximately one kilometer to Søndermark School. Parking options are ample, and the location is just a few minutes' drive from the E45 highway, the shopping center, and the city center. Four stops for local buses are conveniently located near the complex, with about one kilometer to bus stops running to Aarhus. These bus stops also provide bicycle parking facilities.

Convenient shopping is found very close by, with three supermarkets and various other retail shops as well as postal pick-up and drop-off points. The area further includes medical services such as doctors and dentists, a church, and Vorup Huset, where activities for all ages take place. Many residents visit Vorup Care Center for bingo, while pensioners often come there for meals or afternoon coffee.

A significant comprehensive plan is in development for the complex. Starting November 1, 2024, an extensive renovation project will commence, aiming to future-proof the entire housing area to meet current standards and modern layouts. The scope of work varies across the 16 housing blocks but generally includes the reconfiguration and merging of apartments, creation of accessible housing units, refurbishment of roofs, façades, and windows, updating of installations, installation of ventilation systems, enhancement of outdoor areas, and potentially the construction of a community house. Completion of this comprehensive plan is not expected before early 2028.
