This residence offers 44 bright studio apartments, each featuring a private kitchen, bathroom, and toilet, along with a spacious entrance area and ample wardrobe space. Every unit comes equipped with free internet and electricity, a bed, and an armchair. Several apartments are additionally furnished with a desk, desk lamp, wardrobe mirror, reading light, and bedside table. Residents also benefit from a dedicated storage room linked to their apartment. The kitchens are fitted with induction cooktops, refrigerators including a freezer compartment, and range hoods.

Shared amenities at the dormitory include a coin-operated laundry room outfitted with modern washing machines and dryers, as well as a large common lounge area featuring a communal kitchen, dining spaces, complimentary coffee machines, sofas, a television, and a lounge area furnished with café tables and table football. Furthermore, tenants have access to a complimentary fitness center and covered bicycle parking. There is also an option to rent a parking space, and green outdoor areas surround the building.

Situated within a vibrant neighborhood undergoing significant development, the dormitory is conveniently within walking distance of the transport hub and various shopping options, as well as cafés, fitness facilities, and numerous study locations close by. The building itself occupies the former Danica Hotel and was renovated recently by its current owner, the Hede Nielsen Family Foundation, established by natives of Horsens. This foundation primarily focuses on supporting cultural, scientific, social, and educational causes. In line with sustainable principles emphasizing recycling, many of the usable furnishings from the old hotel are freely available to residents. Consequently, each apartment is pre-furnished with a bed, small furniture items, and various kitchen utensils, facilitating an affordable and easy move-in process for young students. Those who prefer not to use the provided furniture may simply store it in their apartment’s associated storage room.
