The local area
Rødekro is a cosy railway town in Southern Jutland, surrounded by attractive natural areas, fishing lakes and close to Aabenraa Fjord. The Byhusene homes are located throughout Rødekro and, in common, are close to bus connections, the motorway and good shopping opportunities. The town provides many services, such as a fitness centre, swimming pool and library, and is home to Røde-Kro, the inn that gave the town its name. The inn predated the town; when the railway between Kolding and Flensburg opened, a station was placed near the inn and was naturally named Rødekro. Rødekro is a pleasant place to live.
