The youth housing units at Fruelundsvej are situated centrally in Ringe and primarily consist of single-story terraced houses. Each pair of homes shares a common entrance area equipped with wardrobe lockers, while each unit has its own separate main entrance. In addition to these, Fruelundsvej features Building E, a former two-story poorhouse containing seven larger apartments spread across both floors. Each dwelling comprises one room with a kitchenette that includes a refrigerator-freezer, separate hotplates, and an extractor hood. The bathrooms are spacious and fitted with vinyl flooring, with the bathrooms in units E6 and E7 boasting a window. Surrounding the properties are attractive green spaces ideal for socializing outdoors, as well as a shared, locked bike shed.

Pets are allowed, but limited to smaller animals such as birds, fish, guinea pigs, and rabbits; reptiles or exotic animals are not permitted, nor are dogs or cats. An exception applies for one unit, Fruelundsvej 1E, E3, which does not share a common entrance. Special permission for keeping pets can be obtained through the service center.

Located within Ringe—a town blending urban convenience with natural surroundings—the housing benefits from proximity to a charming main street filled with various shops, grocery stores, and dining options. Ringe offers a vibrant cultural and community life, including amenities such as a cinema, swimming pool, athletics stadium, and leisure center. The scenic Ringe Lake nearby invites residents to enjoy walking trails and observe the abundant birdlife, with running events frequently held in the area. Families find Ringe attractive due to plentiful childcare facilities including a nature-focused kindergarten and several schools throughout the town. Easy access to a nearby motorway allows for a roughly 15-minute drive to either Odense or Svendborg. For those without a car, regional trains connect Ringe station directly to these cities as well.

These youth housing units are exclusively available to students currently admitted or enrolled in education programs. Residency is permitted for the duration of the educational period, with tenants required to move out within three months after completion of their studies. There is no charge for joining the waiting list.
