Klitmøller sits on the North Sea coast and forms part of Cold Hawaii, drawing surfers from across the world. The town has approximately 1,200 residents. Over the past 10 years, many people have moved there, and the population multiplies during the summer half of the year, when Klitmøller is a popular tourist destination. The North Sea and Thy National Park are its closest neighbours. Local amenities include a children's centre, an independent school for grades 0-6, accommodation and places to eat, as well as shops for everyday needs.
