Enebærvej.

Department 51 comprises fine family homes in Aabybro. The three- and four-room apartments are practical and modern, each featuring a utility room with cupboards and a tiled floor, and fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms. All family apartments have eat-in kitchens; the youth apartments on Enebærvej have separate kitchens, whereas the remaining youth units have kitchens open to the living room. Floors in the bright living rooms and family units are laid with beech parquet and there is direct access to the garden from the living room; on Enebærvej the floors are ash parquet and garden access is available both from the living room and from the bedroom. Bathrooms are finished with sand-coloured floor tiles and white wall tiles, and apart from some of the Enebærvej apartments the bathrooms have underfloor heating. A number of the Enebærvej homes are arranged over two storeys and include an internal staircase. Water is included in the rent, heating is invoiced by the landlord as a monthly a conto amount, and electricity is charged directly by the utility company.

The department covers several addresses and building types. In the town centre the multi-storey Torvestræde buildings were constructed in 1992, 1993 and from 1997 and contain the family apartments as well as wheelchair-friendly accommodation with an elevator and dwellings without doorsteps; pleasant green areas with table-and-bench sets surround these homes. Østergade, an apartment block from 1992, also offers green areas and is arranged with youth apartments. The department also includes 12 terraced houses with senior housing that were built in 1979 and renovated in 2001, and there is a communal bicycle shed in Østergade and Torvestræde. At a greater distance from Aabybro centre are four clusters of single-storey red-brick terraces: Løvsangervej (built 1979) and Sneppevej (1988) lie adjacent to one another, while Revlingestien (1985) and Perikumvej (2002) are likewise side by side. These locations provide attractive shared outdoor spaces with table-and-bench sets and playful playgrounds equipped with a zip line; the area consists mainly of large-scale family housing with a few youth apartments. Select carports belonging to Løvsangervej and Revlingestien can be rented when available, and safe footpath connections from Perikumvej and Revlingestien lead to the town centre, schools and institutions. The red-brick row houses on Enebærvej were built in 1990 as one- or two-storey units and are positioned in the eastern part of Aabybro within a villa neighbourhood characterised by plentiful green spaces and a secure path network to the centre, schools and institutions; the development also contains a robust zip-line playground that easily supports adults and several table-and-bench sets. The areas at Bindeleddet, Hjorthsvej, Tegleværksvej, Sundbyvej, Stationsvej, Vadumvej, Anlægsvej, Vadumvej, Kildevangen consist of dense low-rise buildings of varying sizes located in Aabybro and in the smaller villages Birkelse, Biersted, Nørhalne and Gjøl. All the bright family and senior apartments there have beech parquet floors, while most youth apartments have linoleum floors and some have laminate, and fitted wardrobes are provided in the bedrooms and in the entrance throughout.

Aabybro offers much of what residents need nearby: nature is easily reached, and a 15-minute drive takes you to Hammer Bakker, Klitplantagen or the sandy beach between Blokhus and Tranum. The town has its own cultural centre within walking distance of the department, a wide selection of grocery and specialty shops, a well-organised range of sports activities, and schools and institutions are close by. A physical master plan (helhedsplan) for the housing area has been approved and may result in changes to the rent and, in some cases, temporary rehousing after moving in. The physical works are scheduled to begin in mid-2027 and are expected to be completed in 2030, where a rent increase of 10-12% is to be expected as a consequence of the plan's completion. More information is available in the document "Helhedsplan - Beboerinformation" found in the Documents box, and inquiries can be sent to Servicecenter BoligNord at sc.bolignord@udlejer. With flexible letting, applicants who meet one or more of the flexible criteria can be moved further up the waiting list and thus obtain housing faster than on the normal list; 25% of the family and youth apartments are allocated according to these flexible criteria. The flexible criteria include commuters employed in Jammerbugt municipality (this must be documented by a copy of the employment contract), citizens of Jammerbugt municipality over 50 years of age seeking more suitable housing, and parents with visitation rights to children living in Jammerbugt municipality.
