The Fårup- and Højagerkollegiet student residences offer excellent accommodations close to educational institutions. These apartments feature kitchens fitted with wooden veneer cabinetry; some kitchens have been updated with white units. Each kitchen comes equipped with a stove, a ventilation hood, and a refrigerator containing a freezer compartment. Notably, refrigerators in two-room units will be replaced by units without freezers by 2016. The bathrooms include practical showers with vinyl flooring and walls, and they benefit from a window that ensures proper ventilation. Every rental property includes an external storage unit.

The housing complexes themselves consist of single-story terraced houses. Fårupkollegiet, constructed in red brick, was built in two phases during 1996 and 2000 and is situated in the southern part of Jelling. Højagerkollegiet, located in the western sector of Jelling, has been in use since 1984. Both residences offer communal rooms available for rent at very reasonable rates, along with shared laundry facilities. The outdoor communal spaces are inviting and frequently lively, featuring amenities such as a barbecue area, a fire pit, and, at Højagerkollegiet, a beach volleyball court for recreational competition. These colleges maintain a strong social environment, leveraging social media platforms for communication. Additionally, there is an agreement with Jelling Radio & TV, allowing tenants to obtain modems for internet access for a modest fee. While the apartments are not specifically designed for wheelchair users, solutions are arranged if necessary.

Keeping pets is prohibited in the one-room units.

In terms of location, both residences are conveniently situated near University College Lillebælt, with easy access by bus or train to Vejle. The town of Jelling offers a variety of cafés, specialty shops, and cultural opportunities, including music events, a cinema, and a library housed within Byens Hus. Nearby recreational options include Fårup Lake, a golf course, and pleasant green spaces.
