A significant comprehensive redevelopment plan is underway for the area. Starting on November 1, 2024, an extensive renovation project aims to future-proof the entire housing complex, ensuring the homes meet contemporary standards and layouts. The scope of needed refurbishments varies across the 16 residential blocks. In general, the redevelopment will include reconfiguration and merging of apartments, creation of accessible housing units, refurbishment of roofs, facades, and windows, upgrading of installations, installation of ventilation systems, landscaping and improvement of outdoor spaces, and potentially the construction of a community house. Completion of this project is not expected before 2028.
