Both Fårupkollegiet and Højagerkollegiet consist of single-story terraced houses. Fårupkollegiet, located in the southern area of Jelling, was built in red brick with sections completed in 1996 and 2000. Højagerkollegiet was established in 1984 and sits in the western part of Jelling. Each site includes a common room available for rent at affordable rates, along with shared laundry facilities. The outdoor communal areas encourage social interaction, often hosting activities such as barbecues and gatherings around the fire pit. Nearby Højagerkollegiet, residents can also enjoy matches of beach volleyball on a dedicated court. Both complexes boast a strong social network, supported by the use of social media for communication among residents. Additionally, an arrangement with Jelling Radio & TV allows tenants to lease modems at a low fee for internet access. Although the apartments are not specifically designed for disabled individuals, wheelchair users can be accommodated through tailored solutions.

Pets are prohibited in the one-room apartments.
