Welcome to “The Imaginarium,” a vibrant communal living space seeking its third (and possibly fourth) resident. We are on the lookout for the ideal individual or couple who values more than just sharing a living space—they want to be part of a genuine community. This impressive 220m² apartment, arguably one of Odense’s most remarkable, is set on Asylgade, right by the pedestrian street in the city center. Beyond the private bedrooms, the home features an expansive living area with an open-plan kitchen, a well-appointed guest room—perfect for visitors who won’t have to settle for the couch or floor—and a spacious bathroom equipped with both a large shower and a fold-out bathtub. Essential appliances include a washing machine and dryer for convenience.
The standout feature is undoubtedly the 45m² rooftop terrace. This outdoor space boasts herb gardens, flower boxes, comfortable seating areas, a grill, and a sheltered section, making it a perfect retreat. Your bedroom, sized generously at 18m², is bright and airy with large windows facing a secluded atrium, ensuring tranquility and no street noise. Positioned next to the kitchen and separated from the other bedrooms, it offers privacy without isolation.
We seek someone—or a couple—who is enthusiastic about shared living beyond mere cohabitation. The right candidate values social interaction, enjoys communal meals, and embraces living in a connected household. Having a cat is viewed as an added bonus. While privacy and alone time are respected by everyone (knocking and closed doors are a given), a genuine interest in participating in collective activities like cooking, dining, and socializing is essential.
All residents take equal responsibility for maintaining the common areas, with proactive cleaning habits expected. We appreciate roommates who notice when the bathroom needs attention without reminders and who hold the household to a standard of mutual respect and shared upkeep. Our ideal community member prefers cooperation over conflict, steering clear of the role of “cleaning police.”
Socializing and hosting guests are central to our lifestyle, yet we balance this with respect for personal space and prioritize those living in the apartment. Large gatherings are planned collaboratively to avoid unexpected parties—though there is already a sizable Christmas celebration scheduled for Saturday, January 17, providing a great chance to meet everyone.
Our vision for co-living is rooted in a mutual desire for community; the room is offered not for profit but from a genuine love of shared living. This is why we prefer a couple as tenants, recognizing the unique dynamic brought by two people.
We are Luciano and Astrid, a couple engaged for nearly a decade, living openly and extroverted lifestyles. Our interests range from watching films and series to Astrid’s gaming sessions and Luciano’s avid reading habit, averaging three to four books weekly. We also enjoy hosting small gatherings, dinner parties, cocktail evenings, and themed events.
Cooking is a shared passion, paired with an ongoing effort to maintain a healthy diet—even if the cost of butter has become outrageous. We admit to indulgence in snacks and quality food alike. Professionally, both of us work within the experience economy sector: Luciano brings experience from restaurants and event companies and is a trained waiter, with his future career path still open, while Astrid holds a master’s degree in experience economics and manages events and cultural programming at Museum Odense.
Having lived with others for many years, separately and together, we cherish community living. Though we each tend to be somewhat untidy in our private rooms, we ensure the shared spaces stay clean and orderly. Our time as a couple in this remarkable Odense apartment has been fantastic, but we now crave the richness of sharing daily life with others.
Regarding finances, the rent is proportionate to the room size, with communal areas divided equally among all occupants. Prices vary depending on whether you move in solo or as a pair: a single tenant’s rent is 4955 DKK plus utilities, totaling around 6000 DKK; for couples, the rent is 6975 DKK plus utilities, approximately 8000 DKK altogether. Utilities—including water, heating, electricity, and fiber optic internet—are shared evenly. Additionally, we pool funds for groceries, averaging about 2000 DKK per person.
A security deposit equivalent to two months’ rent plus one month’s rent paid in advance is required. Move-in is scheduled for January 15, though an earlier date may be possible depending on current tenant arrangements.
