The department comprises 46 homes in total. In Kværndrup, Rødhøjsvej is made up of single-storey terraced houses with 2-4 rooms. Seven of these are one-room youth homes, which may only be rented by people in education who can provide proof of their studies or apprenticeship, for example; the tenancy period is also limited. The homes were built in 1988/90 and each has a terrace/garden and a shed. Heating is supplied by district heating, and the department has a small number of carports.

Also in Kværndrup, "Pakhuset" on Svendborgvej contains six apartments in a multi-storey building, with a shared garden. The apartments were renovated in 1992 and have a cooker and refrigerator. Shared facilities across the department include a laundry room and a communal house.

Residents meet once a year to decide the department's budget and, consequently, the rent for the following year.
