Vestervang.

Stubbekøbing 1942 is an active housing division characterized by a diverse range of available residences. Currently, all rentals are paused until the comprehensive redevelopment plan, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027, has been finalized. This division results from the merger of six smaller sections constructed between the 1940s and the 1990s, so the conditions and planned improvements vary across different building segments. Several homes will receive new ventilation systems, some bathrooms will be renovated, and others are slated for roof replacements. As part of these upgrades, many residents will experience temporary relocation for varying durations, and a number of tenants will need to use mobile bathroom and toilet facilities during this period. The renovation timeline spans from mid-2026 through the conclusion of 2027.

Within this district, the homes on Vestervang consist mainly of single-story terraced houses, except for numbers 68, 70, 72, and 74, which feature two floors and indoor staircases. The construction occurred in three phases: houses numbered 2 to 60 were built in 1981 and had new windows and doors installed in 2015; those from 1 to 47 date back to 1973 and received new roofing in 2015; while the group from 62 to 102 was completed in 1992. Situated on the outskirts of Stubbekøbing, these homes border open fields, with the beach and recreational areas located approximately 500 to 800 meters away. Surrounding the houses are well-maintained communal green spaces, many offering views of Grønsund. The outdoor amenities include a large, engaging playground, picnic tables added in 2015, facilities for ball games, and a spacious shared terrace. Inside, the homes feature bathrooms with tiled floors and light-colored tiles in the shower corner, complemented by a window to facilitate healthy and environmentally friendly ventilation. There are hookups for a washing machine and a condenser dryer. Kitchens contain varying types of cabinetry, along with a stove and extractor hood. Tenants may install dishwashers, though the cost of installation applies if this is not already present. Kitchen flooring is vinyl, while beech parquet floors cover the remainder of the living space. Each residence includes a private garden maintained by the tenant, as well as an individual storage shed. The costs for water and heating are billed monthly by the landlord based on estimated consumption, whereas electricity charges are paid directly to the utility company.

This section represents an engaged part of Stubbekøbing's housing stock, offering a variety of homes suitable for youths and families within both terraced houses and apartment buildings. Residents of Solgården and Vestervang share access to two pleasant communal rooms available for rent should they wish to organize larger private events. Laundry facilities are also shared by tenants in these areas. Additionally, a limited number of garages at Vestervang can be rented, subject to a waiting list. The local housing board is highly proactive, regularly organizing various social activities.

The neighborhood itself exudes a charming small-town atmosphere alongside the waters of Grønsund. As Denmark's oldest market town, Stubbekøbing is home to just under 2,500 residents. The housing units lie centrally or within 1.5 kilometers of the town center, with grocery stores and bus stops conveniently nearby. Notable local attractions include the Stubbekøbing Motorcycle and Radio Museum, which boasts Northern Europe's largest collection of vintage motorcycles, as well as a mini forest named Anlægget, featuring trails and picnic areas that invite leisurely outings. Grønsund's waters are home to species like sea trout and garfish, and Ore Beach draws swimmers during warmer months. Between Stubbekøbing and Bøge, the historic wooden ferry Ida operates in summer, providing an opportunity to explore the Marguerite Route around Bogø and Møn. For those commuting, the E47 motorway linking Copenhagen to Rødby is accessible within a 10-minute drive.

Applicants may benefit from a flexible rental system designed to accelerate access to housing if they meet one or more specific criteria, thus shortening wait times compared to the standard queue.

The following flexible criteria apply to this housing category:

First, employment connection requires a household member to hold a permanent job for a minimum of 25 hours per week, substantiated by a copy of the employment contract and the last three pay slips. In cases of new employment, the contract must be provided, and work must commence no later than two months after taking possession of the residence. Permanent positions subsidized by public funds, such as flexible jobs, are considered equivalent to other permanent work and must be documented with a copy of the agreement showing at least 25 hours of employment, irrespective of actual hours worked at the employer. Self-employed persons and consultants must provide CVR registration and financial records from the most recent fiscal year.

Second, applicants pursuing education include young individuals or their spouse/partner enrolled in full-time, SU-eligible vocational or academic training programs in the municipality, lasting at least one year. Proof must be provided via education certificates or apprenticeship contracts along with the latest pay slip or a dated statement from the educational institution confirming enrollment.

Third, those affected by divorce with children residing in the municipality may receive priority for up to one year following separation, divorce, or the ending of a partnership, demonstrated through divorce or separation documents or a residence certificate verifying cohabitation.
