WELCOME TO BYHUSENE - interesting buildings in the absolute centre of Haderslev. Important note about an upcoming renovation: a large renovation project is currently planned for 1627 Haderslev Byhuse affecting the building sections Catharinaheim, Høppners Gård and Olaf Ryesvej. The works will include renovations and the merging of some dwellings, which means that occupants of the affected apartments may need to be rehoused, either temporarily or permanently. The flats - youth housing 50 meters from the business school - are situated in two- and three-storey red brick buildings slightly south of the town centre. Each building has pleasant green outdoor areas with sets of table-and-bench seating for communal use. The apartment itself contains a shower bathroom and an open kitchenette with varying cabinet units; a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, two separate hotplates and an oven are included. All units have fixed cupboards. Every tenancy includes a basement storage room and there is access to a shared laundry facility. Daily shopping can be done about 400 m from the homes, and a short bike ride will take you the nearly 2 km into Haderslev's centre with its lively atmosphere, fitness centres and cafés. The department - primarily historic buildings centrally in Haderslev - reflects the town's long history: many houses date back far and offer properties with few residents, non-uniform apartments, well-preserved original plank floors, stucco ceilings, quirky angles, impressive facades and cobbled streets. There is also newer construction within the department; if this appeals to you, look at Dannevirkestræde, Høppners Gård, parts of Klosteret or Naffet. The local area: Haderslev, with its beautiful cathedral and historic buildings, is a bustling market town offering numerous specialty shops, fitness centres, restaurants and cafés. With the fjord and the inner pond (inderdammen) as starting points, there are opportunities for fishing, sailing and outdoor experiences. Take a walk with the watchmen, visit Gram Castle or join the many cultural events Haderslev hosts. There is 5 km to the motorway, 25 km to Kolding and around 45 km to the border.
