Located near educational institutions, the student accommodations at Fårup- and Højagerkollegiet offer practical living spaces designed for both privacy and community engagement. The residences along Ringvejen/Højagerkollegiet include units with both separate and open kitchens, all featuring white cabinetry from Svane. Each kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator-freezer, a stove hood, and a cooker; however, the two-room apartments specifically have four individual hotplates complemented by a countertop oven. Bathrooms are finished with brown floor tiles and wall coverings of textured fabric. Storage sheds are provided to all residents-some receive private ones, while others share communal sheds.

The two housing complexes themselves are composed of single-story terraced houses, each fostering a strong social atmosphere. Fårupkollegiet, constructed in red brick in two phases during 1996 and 2000, is situated in the southern sector of Jelling. Meanwhile, Højagerkollegiet, established in 1984, is located on Jelling's western side. Both campuses offer communal rooms available to tenants at very affordable rates, alongside shared laundry facilities. Outdoor areas are designed for social interaction, featuring amenities such as barbecues, fire pits, and a beach volleyball court at Højagerkollegiet. These communities actively cultivate social bonds, partly through the use of social media platforms. Internet access is supported by an agreement with Jelling Radio & TV, enabling tenants to rent a modem for a modest fee. While these homes are not specifically adapted for wheelchair users, accommodations can be arranged when necessary.

Pet ownership is restricted in the single-room apartments, where animals are not permitted.

The neighborhoods provide convenient access to University College Lillebælt, with bus and train links facilitating travel to Vejle. Jelling town itself offers a variety of attractions, including cafés, specialty shops, and Byens Hus, which hosts musical events, a cinema, and a library. Nearby recreational options include Fårup Lake, a golf course, and several pleasant green spaces.
