Located near educational institutions, the student accommodations at Fårup and Højagerkollegiet offer practical living spaces with communal opportunities. Situated on Ringvejen and within Højagerkollegiet, the apartments feature built-in cupboards. Kitchens vary between separated and open layouts but all include white cabinetry from Svane, equipped with a fridge-freezer, exhaust hood, and stove. Notably, the two-room apartments come with four individual cooking plates and a countertop oven. The bathrooms are designed with brown floor tiles and walls covered in textured wallpaper. Storage sheds are available for all residents; some have private units while others share.

The two dormitory complexes consist of single-story terraced houses. Fårupkollegiet, constructed of red brick, dates from 1996 and 2000 and is located in the southern area of Jelling, while Højagerkollegiet, established in 1984, lies in the western part of the town. Both dormitories provide common rooms available for rent at very reasonable rates, alongside laundry facilities. Their outdoor areas foster a lively atmosphere with amenities like barbecue spots, fire pits, and a beach volleyball court situated at Højagerkollegiet. The dorms maintain an active social network, partly facilitated by social media. Residents can obtain a modem for internet access from Jelling Radio & TV for a small fee. Although the apartments are not specifically designed for wheelchair users, accommodations can be arranged if needed.

Regarding pet policies, each two-room apartment permits one dog weighing up to 40 kg or one cat.

In terms of location, both dormitories are conveniently positioned close to University College Lillebælt. Public transport options such as bus and train provide easy access to Vejle. The town of Jelling offers a variety of cafés, specialty shops, and cultural venues including Byens Hus, which hosts concerts, cinema screenings, and a library. Nearby recreational spots include Fårup Lake, a golf course, and ample green spaces.
